Christian Aid
This year’s appeal raised a wonderful £1277.00. With many thanks to everyone who was involved. “As hurricane season begins, thousands of displaced Haitians could be in grave danger. This fear is very real for Jocelyne, who lost everything when Hurricane Matthew struck Haiti. This Christian Aid Week, we’re asking everyone to #StandTogether and help families weather future storms.”
For more information, please visit the Christian Aid Week Appeal website where you can still donate.
Blythswood Care Shoeboxes
For those of us who fill shoeboxes in November for Blythswood Care and wonder what happens to them, a most interesting and informative meeting will be held in Fullarton Connexions at Fullarton Parish Church, Irvine on Wednesday 20th June at 10.30 am with tea/ coffee served from 10 am. Pastor Dragisa Armus and his son, David, will be visiting Fullarton to meet as many shoeboxers and friends of Blythswood Care as possible to give an update on where the shoeboxes go i.e. to those most in need in Serbia.
Fullarton Parish Church is sited opposite the large North Ayrshire Council building on the Marress roundabout. If you would like to attend this most valuable meeting, please give your name to Elsa Kirk next Sunday 17th June.
If you have never heard of Blythswood Care and would like to know more, please visit their website HERE.
