General Assembly and Heart & Soul

If you wish to understand more about the 2019 General Assembly, please follow THIS LINK.

The General Assembly is a significant annual event in the Church of Scotland calendar. Throughout the week, commissioners to the General Assembly (which this year includes our minister, Sarah) examine its work and laws and make decisions that affect the future of the Church. You can watch the live webcasts, catch up using the daily updates or download the ‘Blue Book’ to see all the reports and proposed deliverances.

Once again Kilwinning Old (The Abbey) will be running a bus to Heart & Soul in Edinburgh. The date is Sunday 19th May, and the bus will leave after the morning Service, around 11.45, from Tesco’s Car Park. We will stop in Dalry and Beith. We leave Edinburgh after closing worship at 6pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to see & hear all about the life of The Church of Scotland, and a great day out with lots to do. This is a free event & there will be no charge for the bus. If you’d like to book a seat on the bus please contact  Janey Grier on 07890111102 or janey161261@aol.com
