This morning Bert McCool led the service, speaking about having absolute faith in Jesus so that we too can metaphorically walk on water when situations appear bleak. He also reminded us that practicing Christianity was important, forever honing our understanding so that we can win the everlasting crown.

1 Corinthians 9:24-25 “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last for ever.”

Next Sunday will be a Family Service. We are encouraged to bring memories of holidays, perhaps churches or cathedrals or the great outdoors, where and when we have felt closer to God. We are also asked to think about creating memories for our current children which would sustain them throughout their lives as our memories have encouraged us. These ideas would be fed into the thinking group who are looking at Families and Young People.
