Next Sunday, 29th September 2019, will be Harvest Sunday when we have an opportunity to celebrate and give thanks this year’s bountiful harvest. We particularly think of those who, for whatever reason, are unable to take advantage of the wide variety of foods which are available to many of us.
This year we ask for donations of dried and/or tinned foods which will be sent to North Ayrshire Foodbank, the closest of which is in Glasgow Street, Ardrossan.
We are also asked to bring one single item of fresh edible produce (e.g. a grape, tomato, turnip) to keep with us. The reason will become clear during our informal time of worship.
