This morning we celebrated with the sacrament of Holy Communion. The sermon posed the question “What is the Church?” Is it the buildings or the people? Buildings which are set apart can help us to find focus for our worship. The music, prayers and scripture readings contribute. Many traditions have sustained us through the generations and continue to do so today.

Not everyone is able to access worship in this way. They may be unable to come into church services. Ill health, financial constraints, persecution and many other reasons could prevent them but we are reminded that, however we practice our Christian faith, however we worship, Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
