Remembrance Sunday 2019

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

This year the poppy fall (created by congregational members) was draped from the communion table.

The Remembrance Sunday prayer was written by the Rt Rev Colin Sinclair, The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland as published in the November 2019 edition of Life & Work.

Today’s sermon reflected on the human cost of war and also considered that Global Peace Index, produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace, which tracks the changing perceptions and realities of security across the globe, and can be accessed HERE.
