As we come to the end of the Christmas celebrations we take the opportunity to reflect on the past and look forward in faith to the future.

Today’s reading was from Paul’s first letter to the people of Ephesus – Ephesians 1: 1-14.

The good news is that God chooses humanity. God is on our side, and will travel with us throughout history. We have not been left on our own or to our own devices. We have not been left without meaning to our lives, or directions to travel. We have choices and hope,
because God chooses to identify with us. God chooses to accompany us throughout the journey of faith and life.

Look forward in faith,
God gives us life each day.
Go onward with Christ,
His Spirit guides our way.
