It is with deep sadness that we share with the congregation that our much-loved friend, loyal Church member, elder and dedicated Church Officer, Mrs Sheila Hanlon passed away on Sunday 17th May.
Sheila has been part of the congregation of St. Cuthbert’s from her childhood days, and over the years has been a good friend to many in the church and community. Her life was inspired by her Christian faith and she touched our lives with her cheerfulness and kindness.
I have only had the privilege of knowing Sheila for two years, but from my first Sunday, Sheila made me very welcome and was eager to help in any way she could.
We will remember Sheila as a special person and sister in Christ, who appreciated the gift of life in God’s wonderful world, and sought to share that joy of living with others.
