Registration for the new session will take place on Tuesday 30th August 2016 from 6-7pm.  We look forward to seeing current members following the summer break as well as welcoming new members wishing to join.  The company will commence the new session the following Tuesday, 6th September at the above times.

About The Girls’ Brigade in Scotland:
The Girls’ Brigade in Scotland is a worldwide organisation for girls and young women and in 2018 will celebrate 125. We are an organisation who works within a framework of Christian principles but are open to girls of all faiths or none. The needs of the girl are paramount in all that we aim to do with and for our members. We operate within the Getting it Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) guidelines. Girls’ Brigade Scotland is committed to offering all members a safe, secure environment where they are supervised by trained adult leaders (known as Officers or Auxiliary Helpers). Robust policies and procedures are in place in respect Child Protection, etc, and each company works within this framework as well as the policies of the individual Church to which the company is attached.  Girls’ Brigade in Scotland works within the Scottish Government Curriculum for  Excellence framework providing a programme of informal learning that complements the work of Scottish schools. It is our belief that every girl has talents and skills to share. We aim to offer a positive environment in which these can be explored and developed. Older girls are also given an opportunity to participate in a Leadership Training programme which is structured to take them into a leadership role as an adult, if desired. Girls tell us that they come to Girls’ Brigade for fun, friendship and opportunity. We look forward to welcoming new girls so that they too may enjoy the GB experience.
