LENT

Lent is the 40 day period before Easter beginning with Ash Wednesday, leading into Holy Week. During Lent Christians may fast, or give up some of their usual routine, to give time to personal examination and to reflect on their relationship with God.

The 2019 Christian Aid programme ‘Count Your Blessings’ is focussing on Climate Change. There are daily reflections and challenges which allow each one of us to put our faith into action. You can download your personal copy HERE.

During the season of Lent, which starts on Wednesday 6 March, church members are being invited to make a change to their lifestyles that will help make a positive difference to climate change and create a sustainable future for our planet and for generations to come. The Church of Scotland offers some ideas for 2019 HERE. Maybe think about signing up for one of the six “Living Lent Challenges”.
