DUE TO THE CURRENT CORONAVIRUS CONCERNS, GUILD MEETINGS SCHEDULED FOR THE REMAINDER OF MARCH AND INTO APRIL AND MAY HAVE BEEN CANCELLED. The situation will remain under review for the anticipated Rally on Cumbrae in June.
The Church of Scotland Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer, action and fellowship.
The Guild has changed a lot, now less formal, and open to men and women.
We are a friendly group of people, giving everyone a warm welcome.
Each year we have a varied programme of speakers. If you have nothing planned for Wednesday afternoons, do come along and join us – you can count on a welcome cup of tea and sometimes some home baking.

The timing of GUILD WEEK is changing and will now start on the day of the Annual Gathering (Dundee) so in 2020 it will be from 6th – 14th September.
REGRETFULLY THE ANNUAL GATHERING FOR 2020 HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE ONGOING CONCERN ABOUT SOCIAL DISTANCING CONTINUING FOR SOME TIME YET.

THREE YEAR STRATEGY
Every three years, a strategy is decided by the Guild and within that are three annual themes. Strategy 2018-2021 – “One Journey, Many Roads!”
Annual themes were introduced to encourage Guilds to plan their programmes more effectively. These resources were introduced in the 1950s to give a focus for Guilds but are sufficiently broad to allow for imaginative planning.
Theme 2018 – “Seeking the way”
Theme 2019 – “Companions on the way”
Theme 2020 – “The Extra Mile”

The Boys’ Brigade is a volunteer-led youth organisation, which provides youth work to the Christian church.
Growing the Future: Malawi Fruits
Malawi Fruits is a Scottish Christian Charity committed to working in Malawi to support young farmers in the North of the country. Our aim is to lift hundreds of small-scale farmers out of poverty, and we see opportunities to bring great help through irrigation and crop processing.
Seema’s Project: Free to Live Trust
Seema’s project began initially in 2014 with the aim of building a home for abandoned street children from the red-light district of the city of Pune, India, and to build a rehabilitation centre for rescued victims of the sex industry.
A Chaplain for Our Ports: Sailors’ Society
Sailors’ Society is an international Christian charity working in ports across the world. Together with the support of the Scottish Guild, we aim to transform lives through bringing hope and comfort to seafarers arriving at our ports.
Journeying Together: World Mission Council
Journeying Together helps teenage mums in Kanyama to build a life of promise for themselves and their children.
CrossReach’s Join up the Dots project is a collaborative partnership between CrossReach and the Guild to tackle the problems of loneliness and social isolation in Scotland.
